Republican front-runner Donald Trump turned to Twitter Tuesday night to issue a threat aimed at 2016 rival Ted Cruz’s wife.
In an ominous message, the brash billionaire warned the Texas senator to “be careful” or he would “spill the beans” on his wife.
Lyin' Ted Cruz just used a picture of Melania from a G.Q. shoot in his ad. Be careful, Lyin' Ted, or I will spill the beans on your wife!

Trump had tweeted a similar message minutes before, but deleted it so it could be edited to include his “Lyin’ Ted” catchphrase.

Now it's back. Had to edit in that Lyin' Ted™ action.

The threat from Trump was seemingly prompted by an ad an anti-Trump super PAC made. Earlier this week, Make America Awesome released the web ad featuring a nude photo of Melania Trump. The ad encouraged individuals to “support Ted Cruz” or Melania could become “your next first lady.” In his response, Cruz noted that the ad Trump was referring to was not created by his campaign. The Texas senator added that if Trump attacked his wife, he would be “more of a coward than I thought.”
