University’s List of Micro-aggressions Includes “Christmas Vacation” & “Golf Outing”

Who even heard of this word, “Microagression?” Really? We used to call it “passive aggressive,” and we used to deal with it on our own. We learned skills to deal with “unpleasant” people and made adjustments in our own behavior to avoid trouble makers and instigators. AND we all got along just fine…

AND when I was growing up, I was taught that Christmas was a seasons of love, giving, joy, compassion… Not a ‘MICROAGRESSEION.’

If I had kids, looking to attend college, they certainly wouldn’t be attending Chapel Hill.

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill must be majoring in political correctness!

A guidebook issued at UNC is in the news for saying that employees should avoid offensive phrases such as “Christmas vacation,” “husband/boyfriend” and even—get this one—“golf outing.” Believe it or not, these phrases could be considered “MICROAGRESSIONS.” Really? Who is making up this stuff? And UNC isn’t the only one. According to a “Bias-Free Language Guide” that was used by the University of New Hampshire, even the word “American” is offensive and shouldn’t be used.

Why? Because it “fails to recognize South America” and “assumes the U.S. is the only country inside these two continents.” Thankfully the guide was ultimately removed, but the fact that it even existed is amazing. And I read where a Washington State Universityprofessor tried to create a policy that would punish her students for using the words “male” and “female.” And they call this higher education?

God’s Word tells us we are to “speak the truth in love.”

Even though it may not be deemed politically correct, I’m going to keep sharing about GOD and His Son JESUS CHRIST who shed His BLOOD that we might have life and forgiveness of our SINS.
