The Associated Press was busted pushing a false story that the man shot and killed at Charlotte BLM riots was shot by a policeman. The AP ran with the story even though they had only one witness, a BLM protester. They did no fact checking at all.
But of course that was a complete lie. There were no cops in the area before the shooting. They were all around the corner and none of them had their guns drawn. There is video to back that and witnesses who on video described seeing a black man firing into the crowd. Interestingly, none of the video shots show the woman who swore it was the police behind the shooting. “Now, isn’t that special?”
The AP like most other media outlets form a narrative and then search for stories to match the narrative, not caring if it’s true or not.
