A man wearing a green robe, a white towel on his head and a black face mask made bomb threats against eagle Valley Elementary School. He walked into the office and told them that if they evacuated the school, no one would get hurt. He claimed he had a bomb and he was willing to use it.
Media outlets, including KUTV, received emails warning that the threat would be made. The emails included quotes from the Bible and Koran. The writer called himself a radical Islamic jihadist. The writer called himself Christopher Craig and said he was a professor and basketball coach. A man by the same name was arrested in 2014 and was wearing long robes that match the description of the man at the school.
The man, Christopher Craig is a former college basketball coach. He has been taken into custody. This is not his first rodeo.
From Heavy.com:
Craig allegedly entered a classroom on the campus of Eastern Arizona College in Thatcher on July 10 he waved a bible asking the professor if he was Mormon and making derogatory statements. He then left the classroom and proceeded to another building on campus.
Police said when he was arrested Craig told them he was a “Islamist jihadist” and that everyone would know his name in a few weeks.
Police said there is no immediate danger, but alerted area churches that the man said he had been going around saying Mormons and Catholics “would be destroyed’ in the coming weeks.”
Personally, I think he’s just nuts. Police are still checking out his car and try to determine if he really had a bomb and if he did, try to disarm it.
