Luke Merrill, a high school graduate from Minnesota, was elated when he received the family car as a graduation present. While to many kids his age, this family heirloom would seem rather old, beat-up, and unwanted. But the 1965 Chevy C-10 half-ton pickup truck that he received had been in the family for over 20 years, and it was finally Luke’s turn to own it.
In the video below, Luke films a before and after of the truck. When he first receives the truck, it’s clearly dinged up. There are scratches. The paint has chipped, and the car metal has certainly rusted. While I couldn’t imagine myself transforming this car into something beautiful, Luke manages to do just that.
