Pulitzer Prize winning journalist, Judith Miller says that Ted Cruz is not liked in the Senate, but she says the reason is not because he is conservative but because Senators tell her that Ted Cruz cannot be trusted and that he will stab you in the back. She points out that in his many years in the Senate, McCain has never said one bad word about any republican, no matter how much they hate each other. He has made an exception in his case. You only have to look at Senate endorsements he has received ( 2 out of 54) to see how unpopular he is with his peers.
Miller appeared on Newsmax TV’s “The Steve Malzberg Show.”
“Cruz was so disliked in the Senate, and Boehner was a charter member of that club. So, you could just see the politicians hated Cruz for reasons, by the way, that still have yet to be fully reported.”
“What I’m hearing is that he was not a man of his word, that you’d thought you had made a deal with Ted Cruz, and then he would back away and do his own thing, or stab you in the back. … Within his own party.”
