Cantrell Furr,17 got off the bus and was met by a gang of thugs. His mother and grandmother came out to see what the commotion was about. Furr’s mother told the gang there was no need to fight and that is why so many black youths get killed, but soon her son and one of the gang began fighting and other gang members jumped in and beat Furr badly. His mother tried to intervene but she was thrown to the ground. It was then that grandma placed herself in the middle of things and the fight quickly broke up.
