It might be that time again, to update your Facebook privacy settings. Instead of just selling ads on Facebook, Facebook is now selling ads everywhere, to everyone. That’s whether you’re on the app or not.

The Consumerist says with that change there’s a new privacy setting for users. One that — surprise, surprise — you’re automatically opted into.

So if you want to limit the collecting and using of your behavioral data in advertising to you, here’s how to do it.

The Consumerist says you cannot, however, opt out of being advertised to or out of having your data collected and aggregated. This setting just treats you as a non-Facebook user for the purpose of having advertising selected for you on non-Facebook sites.
