Royce Thompson of Santa Fe, New Mexico, a kindergarten student was running late, when he suddenly stopped. His mother, realizing that he stopped because the Pledge of Allegiance was being broadcast over the PA system, she whipped out her phone and recorded him standing at attention, with his hand on his heart.
After the pledge was complete, Royce stayed in place and that puzzled his mother who was urging him to go on inside. She was approached by police officer Cibby Moore, who told her:
”Mom he’s doing good. He stopped for the Pledge of Allegiance and now he’s praying.”
