Clyde Roberts, who is reported to be the oldest active hunter in the U.S. shot the big buck while hunting with his granddaughter, Christin, in Bedford County.
That’s quite a rack!
When Clyde’s son Mike, was asked last year about his dad’s secret to living such a long life, he response was;
“My father is a very simple person and a devout Christian. He says the secret is ‘hard work and living for the Lord.”
Mike said that his father didn’t start hunting until later in life due to obligations to his work and family. He purchased the rifle for his father five years after he retired.
So for all you guys and gals who get discouraged during hunting season, don’t give up, you might get lucky someday.
Here is a video that was recorded about Mr. Roberts last year.
