KEYSVILLE, Ga. – (CNN) A convenience store clerk was determined she wasn’t going to be the victim of an armed robbery and fights back. Surveillance video from a gas station in Georgia shows a man walk up to the counter and pay for a beverage.
While the cashier runs the transaction, the man sways back and forth appearing nervous, then pulls gun when the cash register door is opened. After exchanging words with the clerk, she slaps at his hand, trying to get the gun away from him. She does this several times and ends up hitting him over the head with the register drawer.
As he runs away, she’s still not finished with him and pulls a hammer from under the counter just in case he decided to come back. The suspect is still on the loose.
