Anne Arundel County police said that they have arrested 70-year-old Bob Hannon, who is the CEO of the county’s Economic Development Corporation, after being accused of entering the home of his 62-year-old neighbor and going through her underwear drawer.
Hannon was charged with first and fourth-degree burglary, fourth-degree theft and theft less than $100. He was booked into jail, and his bail was set at $100,000.
According to the criminal complaint, a security camera recorded Hannon removing items of underwear from a drawer of the woman’s home, and putting them back later.
Hannon did not have permission from the woman or homeowner to enter the apartment.
No signs of forced entry have been found, indicating that Hannon probably had a set of keys to the apartment.
Chief Administrative Officer Mark Hartzell will serve as acting CEO of the Economic Development Corporation until a permanent replacement is found.
