On Monday night’s season premiere of “Dancing with the Stars” embattled TV chef Paula Deen made her dancing debut and didn’t exactly wow the judges in the process.
Deen, paired with dancer Louis van Amstel wore a long purple gown with a furry hem underwhelmed fans and judges with a tepid performance.
“I felt like you were holding on to Louis for dear life,” judge Julianne Hough told Deen.
“You just didn’t quite get your feet under you so it felt like you were being dragged around a lot,” added judge Carrie Ann Inaba.
Deen and van Amstel would receive an overall score of 15 out of 30 for their quickstep, prompting Deen to make a joke about her performance that left audiences cringing.
“I was scared. I had white underwear when I started, but it probably ain’t white no more!”
