In the video, posted below, the boy was seen holding a sliver of the intensely hot pepper, which is said to be 150 times hotter than Tabasco sauce and 400 times hotter than a jalapeño.
“Don’t swallow it,” a voice in the background warned just before the boy put the pepper in his mouth. The teen swallowed the pepper, and immediately began screaming and crying while running around the room in a panic.
“It’s hot! It’s really f**king hot!” the teen screamed as he paced around the room, seemingly trying to figure out some way to ease the intensity of the pepper.
The ghost pepper is on of the hottest in the world, weighing in at 1,041,800 on the Scoville scale. The hottest pepper on the scale is known as the Carolina Reaper and weighs 2,200,000 Scoville units.
