9-month-old Samuel Giovanini had “Dada” figured out but he had yet to say “Mama.”

So, his grandmother tried to coax it out of him with food, but the family dog beat him to it.

The video was posted on YouTube last month, but Reddit just found it and it’s now trending with 1.5 million hits.

Many of the comments were from people who were upset that the baby was getting food, but Patches was not. So, the family posted a follow-up video of the dog eventually getting a treat.
