According to a source who spoke to the Associated Press, the guy who is accused of stabbing convicted child molester Larry Nassar earlier this week claimed that he attacked the former Team USA gymnastics doctor because he made a sexual remark about girls.
According to a source who spoke to the AP, the suspect, 49-year-old Shane McMillan, claimed he was watching the women’s Wimbledon tennis competition with Nassar when the child molester said he wanted to see girls play. Then, according to allegations made by four other prisoners, McMillan attacked Nassar in his cell with an improvised weapon, stabbing him around ten times in the back and chest. The attack was not captured by surveillance cameras because it took place inside Nassar’s cell, which was hidden from view.
Nassar was given life-saving treatment by jail staff before being transported to a hospital. The pedophile suffered a collapsed lung, but as of Wednesday, he was in stable condition.
After admitting to selling meth in 2002, McMillan received a sentence of more than 20 years. However, in 2006, at a federal prison in Louisiana, he was found guilty of assaulting a guard, and in 2011, at a supermax prison in Colorado, he was found guilty of attempting to kill another prisoner. He will now be allowed to leave prison in 2046.
More than 150 women and girls accused Nassar of sexually abusing them over the course of 20 years, and he will spend the rest of his life in federal prison. Nassar treated some of the most well-known members of the American women’s Olympic gymnastics team.
\The former physician who practiced at Michigan State University acknowledged abusing females while he was a doctor. 156 victims testified against Nassar in court, including well-known athletes like Simone Biles, Aly Raisman, Gabby Douglas, and McKayla Maroney. Rachael Denhollander was the first to come out in 2016 and explain Nassar’s misdeeds.
