What Melania Trump Did For School Children Will Warm Your Heart [VIDEO]

Melania Trump, like Michelle Obama before her decided to do something for school children, but instead of serving them up meals that would gag a goat, our First Lady read to the kids in a heart warming moment.  Nothing phony about this woman so full of beauty and grace.  She even brought her own favorite children’s book “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!” by Dr. Seuss.  Michelle’s favorite book was “Oh, the Things You’ll Eat” By Dr Shush.  This was at a children’s pediatric hospital.

I don’t know about you but for me it’s been so long since this country has had a First lady, I was beginning to question if we really needed one.  Now, I know we do.  Seeing Melania sitting there and interacting with the small children reminded me that the role of First Lady is a constructive and uplifting one.  Anyone could have read these books to the children, but in seeing someone like the First Lady doing it, reminds us that the single most important thing a First family can do is care.

From The Washington Times:

First lady Melania Trump visited a pediatrics ward Thursday to read to sick children to mark National Reading Month.

Mrs. Trump brought a copy of Dr. Seuss’ “Oh, The Places You’ll Go!” and read to children at New York Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan. She said it’s one of her favorite books.

“I came to encourage you to read — and to think about what you want to achieve in life,” the first lady said.

When Mrs. Trump got to a passage in the book about a “slump,” she looked at the children and said, “So sometimes you don’t feel good, right? But then — what do you do?”

“You go places where you feel better,” she told them, smiling. Holding up the book with one hand, she showed them pictures, and read, “You’ll be as famous as famous can be. With the whole wide world watching you win on TV.”
