President Obama has just decided to raise the White House fence by five feet for added security.
President Barack Obama’s Secret Service unintentionally handed some golden ammo to GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump this week when it announced plans to raise the White House security fence by five feet.
“The current fence simply is not adequate for a modern era,” Secret Service official Tom Dougherty official announced at a briefing, according to Washington, D.C., station WRC. “It is becoming more and more acutely clear that that is, in fact, the case.”
He added, “(The fence) is entirely scale-able, depending upon the circumstances, and we have now a society that tends to want to jump over the fence and onto the 18 acres.”
I guess the president wants to keep people from illegally trespassing on his castle, huh? Gee, I wonder why that seems so ironic. Perhaps because Trump bases his proposal for a southern border wall on the exact same principle — as he himself rather cleverly explained on Facebook.
“President Obama understands that you build strong, tall, beautiful walls to keep people out who don’t belong,” Trump wrote on Thursday. “People who get permission can enter the White House LEGALLY!”
Incidentally, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, an avid open-borders fanatic, understands the same principle as well.
