‘White Lives Matter’ Protest At NAACP Headquarters

Approximately 20 armed “White Lives Matter” protesters, some carrying the confederate flag, showed up outside the NAACP headquarters in Houston’s mostly black 3rd Ward on Saturday, USA Today reported.

“If they’re going to be a civil rights organization and defend their people, they also need to hold their people accountable,” Reed added.

But supporters of “White Lives Matter” weren’t the only protesters outside the NAACP headquarters. Black Lives Matter supporters gathered across the street to protest the protesters.

“You understand more white people are well fed than anybody else,” one black protester said, according to the Chronicle.

Both groups of protesters later left peacefully. There were no reports of violence or hostile confrontations.
