Brian Ogle, 17, was hospitalized Friday after he was reportedly assaulted after his high school’s Homecoming Game. When he was found, his head was bleeding. Later it was determined that he was bleeding from the brain. It appears that Ogle had gotten into an argument over Black Lives Matter. It spread over to Facebook and Ogle became the target of threats. He took the threats to the principal who said there was nothing she could do about it. Dollars to doughnuts, she’s a liberal.
As principal, she is responsible for the safety of students on school grounds and she out and out refused. At a minimum, she should be fired and a written reprimand placed in her file in case she ever decides to use them as a reference.
Ogle’s mother is livid and is openly accusing her son’s attackers of committing a hate crime. If cowardice was a crime, they’d be guilty of that too. How many times do we see 8 or 10 beating up on just one or two people?
“My son took it to the principal at Sylacauga High School and I commend him for that. He showed her the threats that were being made to him, but she told him there was nothing she could do. I’m appalled. They have a job to do it at school and they failed to do it.”
Allen said the boy’s skull was broken and that there was bleeding from his brain. The 17-year-old remains in critical condition at University of Alabama-Birmingham Hospital.
Police have not yet charged anyone in connection to the crime.
“I want to see them handcuffed. I want to see them put in jail,” Allen said, referring to her son’s assault as a “race issue” and “hate crime.”
“I don’t wish any harm on anyone’s child. I would like for them to have to look at my child right now,” she added. “I don’t want any other mother to have to go through what I went through these past few days.”
