What would happen to conservative firebrand and now-former Fox News personality Tucker Carlson after being abruptly fired in April became the talk of the conservative internet.
Eventually, it was made public that the enormously well-liked Carlson would be creating a brand-new “Tucker on Twitter” show, which has been a rousing success by almost every measure.

Despite the popularity of his Twitter program, it always seemed like another shoe will eventually drop.
According to a Puck News report, that enormous shoe is certainly ready to drop.
The keynote from Puck News’ Dylan Byers, per The Daily Caller: “In fact, I am told he is raising capital to launch a new company that may yet prove more influential.”
Byers pointed out that other prominent figures who are beholden to diminishing establishment media audiences might take inspiration from Carlson’s alleged power move.
“Tucker’s new media play might — if executed adroitly — serve as a paradigm for a generation of TV news personalities with huge followings and fandoms who remain marooned to their desks amid shrinking audiences,” Byers wrote.
Even though this is just a very early report, it’s intriguing to think about Carlson starting his own media company.
On the one hand, Carlson has never actually run a media organization, and definitely not one that size that would purportedly aim to rival Fox.
On the other hand, Carlson did co-found the right-leaning publication The Daily Caller, and he has undoubtedly built up a loyal fan base as well as a staff.
Many of his former Fox News employees are actually planning to work with him on this new endeavor, according to the Puck News piece.
More significantly, there is now sufficient information to state unequivocally that Carlson is a genuine rating magnet and charismatic conservative.
The number of views and attention that “Tucker on Twitter” attracts is conclusive evidence that Carlson’s star has not dropped even the slightest bit after a clean divorce from Fox News.
For Carlson’s previous employers, the same cannot be true.
Without Carlson, Fox News has been suffering greatly, losing viewers to the point that it is now sharing rating victories with CNN and MSNBC, two networks that Fox has always dominated.
Fox News has made a number of significant adjustments to the network’s programming, including the primetime block that was previously hosted by Carlson, in part in response to such abrupt rating losses.
Currently embroiled in a legal battle with Carlson’s crew over his Twitter show, Fox News has served their former anchor with a “cease and desist” letter.
