For much of our country’s history, we have found useful ways to repurpose obsolete items to make them useful again. The latest one is quite unusual. Missile silos had to be protected against nuclear attacks and that makes the silos perfect for modern bomb shelters. A missile silo contains 54,000 square feet of space and they were able to make 75 individual units with a surprising comfort and the ability to live in there dfoe five years.
These apartments sell for a cool three million dollars. Demand is so high, a second one is needed and they are already planning on number three. The apartments have shared areas, contained water, power and other niceties that could make the next nuclear attack pleasurable.
