The vaccine passport is moving its way to a city near year quicker than we all could have thought. However, when they left has a good idea on ways to control the masses more they do not waste any time on making it happen.
New York City, one of the bluest states out there is already on the cusp of invading people’s privacy with their new “Excelsior Pass” that will provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or negative test results.
The Excelsior Pass Wallet app will “store Passes on a mobile device for easy access at any time,” according to the Pass website hosted on NY.gov. Printing a Pass is also an option.
A Friday news release explains that the Excelsior Pass will be similar to a mobile airline boarding pass.
“Each Pass will have a secure QR code, which participating businesses and venues can scan using a companion app to verify proof of COVID-19 negative test results or proof of vaccination. An individual’s data is kept secure and confidential at all times,” the news release says.
Venues like Madison Square Garden in New York City will begin using the app within the next couple or few days. Smaller “arts, entertainment, and event” venues will also start using it on Friday, April 2, according to Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s office.
The app will not display health information when scanned. It will only display a green checkmark if the person has received a vaccine or negative COVID test—or a red “x” if not. All health information will be encrypted with blockchain technology to ensure security.
This only represents the beginning. It would not come as shock if such “passports” became available in many other states and were implemented by numerous hospital networks, airlines, sports arenas and stadiums, and so on.
Listen, if you want to get the vaccine then go on with your bad self, but do not force others to get one too. If you have the vaccine it doesn’t matter if I refuse it since you are safe, right?
And, if you think that your vaccine doesn’t work if I don’t have one then do you really trust vaccines? Seriously, you cannot make people give up their freedom so you can feel safe, and if you want that way of living? Let’s pack you up and move you to a country that feels that way too.
The statement about people freaking out if they’ve had the vaccine and you haven’t reminded me of what my son and daughter-in-law go through about the childhood vaccines. My grandchildren are not vaccinated and they are far healthier and miss far fewer days of school than their vaccinated peers. But when parents find out the kids are not vaccinated, they say they don’t think it’s safe for their children to play with them. My daughter-in-law who has done much research on the vaccines has a ready reply. Why do you allow them to put all that stuff in your children’s bodies if you don’t trust them to work? It appears you don’t trust them any more than I do, I just refuse to expose my children to what they contain because the government tells me to. The government would be totally hands-off if my children suffered ill effects and so would the pharmaceuticals. My child, my choice.
