A trio of young women have found themselves charged with assault by a mob in connection to an incident where Columbia police investigators say the group beat up another woman near the Saluda River.

The victim suffered a concussion and broken nose. CPD has now arrested and charged the three girls accused of beating the 20-year-old victim. Arlinda Craft, 18; Anns Leigh Hill, 19; and Megan Williams, 20, are charged with second-degree assault and battery by a mob.

The brutal video is almost nauseating to Ramy Williams, a friend of the victim.

“One’s kicking her, and she’s completely helpless. It’s just really hard to watch,” Williams said. “The other one was just wailing on her face, wailing on her head, you know, on the back of her head. It definitely could have killed her.”
