David Michel was patrolling a local neighborhood on June 22 when he noticed Neveaux following another individual. When Michel attempted to stop and search Michel, the teenager allegedly pulled out a stolen gun and proceeded to fatally shoot Michel.
Officials said Neveaux fled into the nearby Pebble Walk neighborhood, where he remained at large for nearly three hours. He was apprehended and taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries he suffered in his apprehension. Yvette Neveaux, Jerman’s grandmother, said hospital staff told family members that Jerman was treated for broken ribs and a broken jaw. The grandmother said her grandson was living with her while he was trying to find a job.
Is this what most in the Black Lives Matter movement condone? There seems to be no outrage from the left in this situation. Maybe if Neveaux were to have died it would have been a topic of conversation and possibly riot. The double standard is apparent in this situation, the family of Officer Michel have to live with the loss, yet Jerman Neveaux, a lost young soul will spend the rest of a long life in prison. This is a case that deserves Capital punishment, it will be the only to stop criminals from doing said crime to other officers. No mercy, no story of a broken home. A stolen gun and a murder is all that should be discussed, be fore the ultimate penalty. What do you think?
