Two people were killed and four others were injured in shootings at Shawnee Park today while it was crowded with people attending the annual Juice Bowl, Louisville Metro Police Department spokesman Dwight Mitchell said.
On a typical Thanksgiving, Shawnee Park is filled with children and their parents for the Juice Bowl, a series of youth football games.
Police blocked off a large portion of the park after the shooting, but at least one football game continued.
Several people reported the shootings in the vicinity of 4501 W. Broadway beginning at 1:51 p.m., according to a MetroSafe dispatcher.
No one has been arrested in connection to the shootings.
