A Senator Just Proposed Something That Definitely Disqualifies Biden!

One of the largest issues facing the United States of America for many years now has been the cognitive decline of some of our elected leaders.

Several sitting senators, congress members, and other leaders of the free world have been around way past their expiration dates.

In the information age, it’s not uncommon to find online videos of leaders slurring their words, forgetting where they are, and even appearing to fall asleep during meetings.

Unfortunately, a few of these people hold some of the highest leadership roles in the entire country including the current president.

Thankfully, there is one GOP senator who sees the handwriting on the wall and thinks that it is high time to start annually testing these leaders for signs of cognitive decline.

Senator Bill Cassidy, who is also a physician, has suggested yearly senility tests for these aging leaders.

New York Post has more on what Senator Cassidy had to say about aging leaders and cognitive testing:

Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-La.) said over the weekend that elderly officials in America’s three branches of government should undergo regular cognition tests — but insisted he did not have a particular person in mind when making the recommendation.

Cassidy, a 64-year-old gastroenterologist who was first elected to public office in 2006 and has been in Congress since 2009, told “Axios on HBO” Sunday night that aged members of Congress, Supreme Court justices and top Executive Branch officials should be evaluated each year to ensure they are still mentally sharp.

According to Cassidy, most people begin a “rapid decline” into dotage in their 80s.

The Daily Wire has more on the science behind Cassidy’s suggestion:

Axios noted that science shows that “we lose something” as we age, emphasizing that our current leading politicians are nearing their 80s, if they haven’t already hit the milestone.

Biden is 78 years old, Pelosi is 81, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) is 70, and McConnell is 79.

Moreover, Supreme Court justices serve life-terms. Most recently, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg served on the bench until her death in 2020. She was 87 years old when she passed.

And the tests should be “annual,” Cassidy suggested. “We each have a sacred responsibility to the people of the United States. It is not about me. It is about my ability to serve the people.”

There is not one thing wrong with requiring something such as this especially with people who are in positions of leading people. Anyone who is in charge of making choices for constituents should be checked quite a bit to ensure that all of their marbles are there.

We have seen the way Joe Biden has been slurring his words and also how he appears to not know where he is on numerous occasions and that is not the only one.

Nancy Pelosi has acted strangely as well and at times even appeared to be drunk.

There is nothing wrong with Americans wanting to ensure that their leaders are all there and if they are not then they need to step down and let someone else take over.

What do you think?
