After Praying Woman Jumps On Car Hood And Stomps Out Windshield [VIDEO]

Barbara Emily Lowery, 24, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct Monday after she allegedly kicked and stomped the glass windshield out of a man’s Volvo parked lot of Badcock Furniture on Cherokee Avenue Southwest. Badcock Furniture issued a trespass warning against Lowery to prevent her from returning to the property and criminal mischief charges may be pending on her side.

The video evidence showed a shovel beside the vehicle with which Lowery used to beat the car. Lowery said the shovel was not enough or in her own words “not doing the job” so she thought climbing up on top to stomp out the windshield was a better idea.

“I already knew going into it that I would have to face some consequences, and you know it kind of sucks, but like I said I prayed about it and stuff, and I did it anyway,” Lowery said.

Her motivation remains unclear but several online news report say it was because she found out the car’s owner, Nick Myrick, did not love her back. Apparently, Lowery was inlove but Myrick had no idea about it.

The incident unfolded in the parking lot of a shopping mall where Myrick worked.  A business owner who shot the video has stepped forward to purchase the car’s owner, Nick Myrick, a new windshield.

“I was actually holding a baby in Subway and saw this woman swinging a shovel and then she went to stomping on it and screaming and hollering,” said Scott Sams, owner of Freedom Motors in Hanceville. “That’s when I went out and started shooting the video. I didn’t know what else she might do.”

According to Myrick,  the car was originally his grandfather’s and then his father’s, who passed away last July.

“My grand dad passed away just a few weeks ago. The car means a lot to me,” Myrick said. “That’s really cool what Mr. Sams is doing to replace the windshield.”
