Why AOC Just Said She Is IN THERAPY Is Absolutely Laughable!

Many people seek therapy for various reasons and there is absolutely no shame in asking for help. However, there are some people out there that deserve some mocking especially when it is a political stunt by far-left radicals such as AOC.

In a recent report, AOC has admitted that she is seeking trauma therapy and it is not for her radical left-wing ideology but from what occurred to her on January 6 at the Capitol.

Insert a massive eye roll here.

AOC has claimed that what she went through was akin to her having “served in a war.”

Again, insert a massive eye roll.

According to AOC, she is taking the time to “recognize trauma” and recover from “these terrorists, insurrectionists” who entered the capitol building.

Which of course, begs a question from all of us.

Did AOC also head to trauma therapy when the BLM burned down our nation’s cities? Did she run to a therapist when Antifa and the BLM entered police precincts across the country and burned them down?

Did she go into trauma therapy when an ACTUAL insurrection was staged during the CHOP/CHAZ zone saga?

Nope, and she will never admit that truth either.

She is nothing but a snowflake and a narcissist that seeks constant attention.

Of course, the left is already praising her for being so transparent about her “trauma” but we all know if a Republican did the same it would be mocked endlessly.

Yahoo News has more details on the story:

AOC said that for most of Trump’s presidency, she was in a “very reactive mode”

New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez revealed Friday she is taking the time to tend to her mental health following the January 6 Capitol insurrection.

According to PEOPLE, the 31-year-old Congresswoman spoke on the Latino USA podcast and opened up about being in therapy to cope with the trauma she experienced during the dreadful Capitol riots.

“You have this transition period of escalating violence, which really culminated on the 6th, for which was an extraordinarily traumatizing event that’s not really being discussed,” she said.

The insurrection that day resulted in the deaths of five people, including a Capitol police officer, and left many politicians and Capitol workers fearing for their lives.

As theGrio previously reported, Garrett Miller of Richardson, Texas faces five criminal charges related to the rioting on Capitol Hill, including trespassing and making death threats after tweeting, “Assassinate AOC.”

[…]

“After the 6th, I took some time and it was really [Rep.] Ayanna Pressley when I explained to her what happened to me, like the day of, because I ran to her office,” AOC explained. “And she was like, ‘You need to recognize trauma. And this is something that you went through, but we’re all going through. And it’s really important to pause after that because that’s how you process it.’”

“And I feel like I learned this the hard way after my father had passed away when I was a teenager … That happened at a young age and I locked it away. You have to live with it for years,” she added.

AOC went on to discuss that for most of Donald Trump‘s presidency, she was in a “very reactive mode” and that in addition to therapy, she’s taking time to slow down.

However, what makes AOC’s comments even more disgusting is that she is attributing the entire mess to race, what’s new?

She claims in Be Latina that is what was occurring and she sounds like race-baiting to me:

Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortéz took off her mask in an honest interview with Latino USA and spoke directly to the elephant in the room: trauma.

In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, the New York representative proved she is flesh and blood, after three years in Congress, a global pandemic, and having survived the Trump Era.

In an intimate conversation with host Maria Hinojosa, AOC discussed the Jan. 6 riots on Capitol Hill and the need to acknowledge and process trauma.

“I’m doing therapy, but also I’ve just slowed down. I think the Trump administration had a lot of us, especially Latino communities, in a very reactive mode. So I’ve been putting myself in a more proactive space,” she said.

The representative of New York’s 14th district focused especially on the particular trauma experienced by Latinos during Donald Trump’s time in the White House.

Specifically, Ocasio-Cortez championed the need for everyone impacted to “recognize trauma.”

AOC referenced the taboo that exists in the Latino community around mental health, the reluctance to seek help, and the need to address the issues in order not only to overcome what was experienced but to ensure a better future for all.

Speaking from personal experience, the representative shared her personal knowledge of the price of not seeking the necessary professional help.

After her father died at a young age, she repressed the trauma due to what she describes as the unique burdens that firstborns and only daughters in Latino families often face.

“I learned my lesson, then,” she said, going on to describe how she’s applying them now by prioritizing her mental health. “I’ve had to take a beat. Because if I take a couple of months now, and just be really good, then I don’t have to live with this thing festering and lingering with me like a roommate in my apartment for years.”

As Mashable explained, by revealing that he’s been in therapy, AOC “counters many of the unique barriers and stigmas Latinx people can experience when seeking mental health help.”

That’s especially true in districts like the one she represents, where 50% of the population is Latino but where only 34% of them receive treatment.

Regarding the Trump era and attacks on the Latino community, AOC has a sharp analysis:

“There’s a direct throughline through imperialism and the attitudes and power structures there—to anti-Asian violence, to what’s happening at the border, to anti-Black racism. All of it,” she said, positioning this trauma as always ongoing, no matter which administration is in power. “People want to think that this stuff is disconnected because they want to believe in this mythology of America or the United States that we were fed as children.”

Oh, please AOC!

Trump received the highest percentage of votes from the Hispanic community and other minorities which is what scares the ever-living piss out of them. Maybe that is why they are so hell-bent on labeling Trump a racist?
