Comedian Chevy Chase Checks Himself Into Rehab For A “Tuneup”

Chevy Chase is a beloved actor who has starred in many of America’s favorite movies. It is hard to imagine such a jokester having any kind of serious problems but Chase is a real person just like the rest of us who occasionally needs some help too. That being said, Chevy Chase has just checked into rehab for his drinking problem – again.

According to TMZ,

Chevy Chase has checked into rehab again … a rep for the comedian tells TMZ.

Chevy is an in-patient at Hazelden Addiction Treatment Center in Minnesota … the same place Robin Williams was treated in 2014.

The rep tells us Chevy is getting help for an alcohol-related problem which she calls a “tune-up.”  She tells us Chevy “wants to be the best that he can be.” He went to Betty Ford in the ’80s.

The 72-year-old is set to appear in 2 upcoming movies — “Dog Years” which is currently being filmed and “The Christmas Apprentice” which has already wrapped.

Chase is doing the right thing by getting help before his problem spirals out of control. Though he has been in rehab before, sometimes it takes more than one time for such a lifelong problem to be completely resolved. We can’t blame the actor for having a drinking problem as it is easy to get to that point when surrounded by money and fame all the time. Hopefully, his treatment works this time and he will be able to continue making us laugh and smile.
