A NYC woman says she found a dead rat sewn into a dress she purchased from a Zara clothing store. She accused the company of negligence and is now seeking money for damages, according to court documents that were filed last Friday.
Cailey Fiesel, 24, who resides in Manhattan, apparently purchased two dresses from the Zara store in Greenwich, Connecticut, back on July 5, according to documents from the court. She stated that after buying the dresses, she hung them up, where they stayed in her closet.

Then, two months later, Fiesel took a dress out and went to work, according to the court documents. While she was at work, she noticed a “pungent odor,” but couldn’t figure out where the stench was coming from. Then she noticed what she said felt like a string brushing against her leg.
She reached down to see what it was and found a dead rat.
The woman who is represented by Morelli Law Firm PLLC, says that she has suffered “significant personal injuries and emotional distress,”
She also says sh got a rash that was doctors later diagnosed as a rodent-borne disease. Fiesel is seeking money “in a sum that will fairly and adequately compensate her” as payment for these damages, according to the court’s documents.
