Donors Are Pouring Money into the Cruz Beat Trump Campaign, But Who Do They Really Support?

guest-speaker-blurred

Super PACs funded by billionaires and a few mega millionaires are aiding Cruz in his campaign to stop Trump from getting the nomination, by holding him below the 1237 mark.  But do they really support Ted Cruz and do the intend to help him win at the convention?  Nope.  They are supporting a man who says he is not interested in running for president, Paul Ryan.  Yes, the same Paul Ryan who said five times he would not run for or accept the Speaker of the House job is now saying he doesn’t want to be president.

Just last week, he met with billionaires Todd Ricketts and Paul Singer in a secret meeting in Palm Beach Florida.  Next week, he will be in a secret meeting with Ricketts and 20 establishment bundlers, all active in the #NeverTrump movement.  Now why would someone not interested in running for president be meeting with so many donors to establishment campaigns?  They want their ducks in a row to draft Ryan at the convention because neither Trump not Cruz will have enough delegates to win in the first round, they believe.  Ted Cruz is merely their pawn to try and stop Trump.  Primary voters are not really choosing between Trump and Cruz.  They are voting for Trump or Paul Ryan.

These same donors have contributed to anti-Trump PACs and “conservative pundits” alike.  Erick Erickson left the blog he founded known as RedState.com, to start a new venture called, “The Resurgent.” Erickson has never mentioned his connection to the Rickett family of Wisconsin that runs OUR PRINCIPLES PAC, that gave Erickson’s “The Resurgent in February alone.  Marlene Ricketts contributed 3 million to Erickson’s Resurgent and another family member donated 1 million.

Establishment donors have given money in one form or another to Mark Levin, Glenn Beck, Erick Erickson, Ben Shapiro and Breitbart News.

Do you believe the establishment was going to let Trump or Cruz win?  Trump still has a chance to get 1237 delegates, but Cruz won’t be close.
