Damian Tilly was driving home after searching for a new job, when he heard noises that made him stop his car in fear. It was around 8:30 pm on December 10, and dogs were howling. Mixed into the canine chaos were the audible sounds of a baby.

He noticed what looked like an abandoned car, and when he got out to check what was going on, he found an infant in the carseat, shivering with cold.

It was around 50 degrees, but the surrounding area was populated with wolves, coyotes, bobcats, cougars etc.

After spending about 20 minutes trying to find the owner of the locked car, Tilly called 911.

Officers discovered the father of the infant inside with his three other children, all under the age of hour.

Though it hasn’t been determined if the dad left his child outside in the cold accidentally, the authorities confirmed that the inside of the family’s home reflected that of neglect and deemed unsafe for children.

The dad has been charged with child endangerment and is being held, while the mom, who had dropped her children off with him early, is just grateful for the good Samaritan who saved her baby’s life.

Way to go Mr.Tilly!
