In a surprise announcement, Judicial Watch (JW) has revealed that during questioning, Huma Abedin admitted that Hillary Clinton would use “burn bags” to destroy her schedules, which is illegal under public document laws. Hillary’s schedules have become an issue because it was discovered that Hillary met with donors to the Clinton Foundation and to her political campaigns without having records of such meetings. Now we know why. The records were kept as required by law, but the documents were then burned or turned into compost.
WASHINGTON (AP) — An Associated Press review of the official calendar Hillary Clinton kept as secretary of state identified at least 75 meetings with longtime political donors, Clinton Foundation contributors and corporate and other outside interests that were not recorded or omitted the names of those she met.
The AP found the omissions by comparing the 1,500-page calendar with separate planning schedules supplied to Clinton by aides in advance of each day’s events. The names of at least 114 outsiders who met with Clinton were missing from her calendar, the records show.
No known federal laws were violated and some omissions could be blamed on Clinton’s highly fluid schedule, which sometimes forced late cancellations. But only seven meetings in Clinton’s planning schedules were replaced by substitute events on her official calendar. More than 60 other events listed in Clinton’s planners were omitted entirely in her calendar, tersely noted or described only as “private meetings” — all without naming those who met with her.
Abedin made her admissions in questioning by JW as part of their lawsuit after their Freedom of Information Act requests were left unfulfilled:
“And during your tenure at the State Department, were you aware of your obligation not to delete federal records or destroy federal records?”
Abedin replied, “If there was a schedule that was created that was her Secretary of State daily schedule, and a copy of that was then put in the burn bag, that… that certainly happened on… on more than one occasion.”
Clinton has said that she destroyed “private personal emails” while she was secretary of state, but according to the Post, “Abedin’s admission that she used so-called ‘burn bags’ — a container that material is placed in before it is destroyed — for some of her schedules is the first time anyone close to her has disclosed destroying public records.”
The judge in that case brought by JW left open the door to the possibility that JW could be allowed to depose Clinton in the discovery proceedings and the admission by Abedin could lead to the judge ordering Clinton to be deposed by JW who will not cover up her corrupt behavior like the current administration is hell bent on doing.
This is the first time anyone has provided any proof of Hillary intentionally destroying protected public records.
