How can an “Easter Egg” candy maker want a more secular product? Really? What’s going on? Is this too much? Will you still buy Cadbury?
We know there’s a War on Christmas, but now there’s a War on Easter?
Popular British candy manufacturer Cadbury is under fire for dropping the word “Easter” from many of their products.
For example, Cadbury’s Easter Egg Trail Pack has been replaced this year by the Egg Hunt Pack. Its iconic Creme Egg, meanwhile, has no reference to the most important Christian holiday other than as a deadline to purchase the product.

Critics have asserted political or religious correctness is behind the move, accusing Cadbury of trying to create a more secular product.
Cadbury, which is based in Birmingham, England, denied claims they were deliberately trying to distance their Easter products from their religious origin.
“Most of our Easter eggs don’t say Easter or egg on the front as we don’t feel the need to tell people this — it is very obvious through the packaging that it is an Easter egg,” an unnamed spokesperson told The Independent.
