Minnesota plans to provide driver’s licenses to approximately 81,000 illegal immigrants. Applicants can now begin the process, but they won’t be able to apply officially until the new law takes effect on October 1st.

The new rule, called “Driver’s License For All,” allows for voter fraud because all that is required to register to vote online is a Minnesota driver’s license.

People living in Minnesota without legal immigration status can now begin the process of getting their driver’s license by making an appointment for their written driver’s test, state officials announced at a news conference Thursday.

Around 81,000 people are expected to be eligible under the state’s new law — dubbed “Driver’s License for All.” They can now make appointments to apply but won’t be able to actually get a license until the law goes into effect Oct. 1.

“We’re incredibly proud to be a part of a handful of states that offer driver’s license for all,” said Pong Xiong, Driver and Vehicle Services Director at the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, at the news conference. “And the first step to getting your driver’s license is to pass that written test.”

The new law removes the requirements for applicants to show legal presence, said Jody-Kay Peterson, the department’s Driver Services Program Director.

Proponents of the new law argue that it will make roads safer by increasing the number of licensed drivers, while opponents argue that it will promote more illegal immigration. Jody-Kay Peterson, head of the driver services program, even stated that the department will not assist any immigration law enforcement with potential deportations. So, in essence, they want to encourage individuals to break the law in order to cover for them.

This is unsurprising for a state led by Marxist radicals. It also reflects the national situation we are experiencing at the southern border. Millions of illegal immigrants have poured into our country, and many are treated better than some of our residents.

The economic impact of illegal immigration on the American taxpayer is disastrous. According to a new Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) research, illegal immigration costs American taxpayers at least $151 billion each year.

To get at the astonishing figure, the study considers education, welfare, medical bills, and justice enforcement at both the federal and state levels. Individual American taxpayers pay about $1,200 per year to fund the illegal crisis.

Border communities are experiencing an even larger hardship as a result of Biden’s flawed border policy and the federal government’s abandonment.
