Mexican Concrete Company Wants to Build Trump’s Wall

While on the campaign trail, Trump had promised to build a, “big, beautiful, powerful” wall that would stretch across the 2,000-mile border between the U.S. and Mexico in order to keep out illegal immigrants.

Should President-elect Donald Trump decide to follow through on his promise to build this wall on the border, a Mexican concrete company says they are ready to do the job.

According to a report from Reuters Wednesday, Grupo Cementos de Chihuahua (GCC) has offered to do the job.

“We can’t be choosy,” Enrique Escalante, chief executive of GCC told Reuters. “We’re an important producer in that area and we have to respect our clients on both sides of the border.”

GCC is based in Chihuahua, an area bordering Texas and New Mexico, and, according to Reuters, is one of the biggest construction material companies in Mexico. The group produces about 70%  of its sales in the U.S., where it has three other plants.

“For the business we’re in, Trump is a candidate that does favor the industry quite a bit,” Escalante said.
