A New Jersey police officer was arrested and charged this week after his department learned he had repeatedly exposed himself to various people he had pulled over on traffic stops.
In an affidavit obtained by The Smoking Gun, Officer Jason Miller, 37 years old and a married father of two, is being charged with official misconduct, a pattern of official misconduct, and lewdness for, on multiple occasions, unzipping his pants and exposing himself to multiple young men over a months-long period.
One of these young men in question “was asked several disturbing questions and one was about his sexuality.” Another said that Miller’s “junk was hanging out.” After hearing from multiple individuals, the Newton police department looked into the matter and saw video evidence that Miller exposed himself on multiple occasiona.
And in addition to all this, after engaging in this kind of behavior, Miller just let these young men go without giving them a traffic summons, and in some cases didn’t do anything even though he knew there was a problem (like the driver was drinking).
Miller is currently free on a $35,000 bail. He is currently suspended indefinitely without pay.
