Over 14 Malls Closed Due to Fights

Fights broke out across the U.S. on Monday forcing many of the malls to evacuate shoppers and close their doors.

December 26 is one of the busiest shopping days of the years with after Christmas specials. At least 14 malls were shut down around the country due to massive fights.

At 10:00 p.m. EST, Fox 61 in Hartford, CT reported that “hundreds” of teenagers instigated fighting at the Buckland Hills Mall in Manchester and that the mall has been closed by Manchester police.

Eight individuals were reportedly arrested, including adults, and journalist Laura Roberts reported that “gang” involvement is not suspected at this time.

Roberts closed her report with the revelation that nine malls from the East Coast to the South to Colorado were closed for similar reasons on Monday.

On Twitter, several Denver, CO stations reported that the Town Center Mall in Aurora was closed as a result of a “large fight” which erupted among a group of teenagers.

According to reports, the malls in Connecticut and Colorado were closed at 5:30 p.m. in each respective time zone.
