Nothing could quite follow up the democratic party’s campaign trail like this meme. It just seems like 100% honesty, And that is exactly what we haven’t seen for far too long from the Democratic party.
This has to be one the ironies of life, just perfectly summed up.
reminds me of a scene from the movie, Sweet Home Alabama. The fairly manipulative mayor of New York is asked bey her son if she dislikes his love interest because her family is poor. She seems appalled by the question and responds, “I am a democrat! I get elected by poor people!” But hen she proceeds to explain that they are superior and more privileged than this woman and her family.
It is one of the true ironies of life that a part can seem to embody a certain economic demographic of people and yet do absolutely nothing to help those people to improve and move from that place. The success rate of the war on poverty is completely ridiculous. And it is because those who need help are voting for democratic leadership. A leadership that will never truly help them emerge from their struggle.
But no matter what side you stand on many of us just want what is best for our country. We want our country to heal. After eight years that has annihilated race relations and worsened many peoples economics, we just want to move on.
