Abul Bajandar, 25, from Khulna, suffers from one of the most hideous and unusual diseases known to man. The disease, Epidermodysplasia Verruciformis, which is a rare skin disease that is hereditary and makes it look like you are growing tree roots out of your hands and feet.
Doctors at the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) have not decided how to proceed with treatment but will be huddling together to decide the best way to go from there. The original “Root Man”, Dede Koswara, was featured on a program on the Discovery Channel. He recently had 6 kilo of these warts removed but died a short time later. Doctors say his death was not related to his disease.
