Apparently, the rioters who tore up a segment of Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Saturday night forgot that they had tough-on-crime County Sheriff David Clarke, who was about to call out the National Guard if they didn’t stop the violence.

Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke has requested the National Guard be called in to quell the violent riots in his city.
Sheriff Clarke said he spoke with Gov. Scott Walker and Major General Donald Dunbar before requesting the Guard be mobilized on Sunday.
“We cannot allow for a repeat of what happened last night. I am going to utilize all available resources to accomplish that,” the sheriff, famous for his no-nonsense approach to fighting crime, said in a press release.
Riots, looting and criminal activity broke out in Milwaukee on Saturday night after a 23-year-old black man with a long criminal history, and armed with a stolen gun he wouldn’t let go of, was shot and killed by police, WISN reported.
Fires were set at a BP gas station, an auto parts store, a beauty supply store and a BMO Harris Bank as of midnight.
Some rioters targeted white people for violence and one elected official threatened more violence if the non specific demands of the black community were not met.
Kudos go out to Sheriff Clarke for trying to stand up to this violent group. Will his efforts be enough to calm down the rioting in Milwaukee, or will it just be fuel to the fire? Hopefully, the national guard will be enough to fix the situation.
