Wisconsin’s governor on July 12, 2016, declared a state of emergency for eight counties following flooding brought on by storms Monday.
Flooding is blamed for at least two deaths, washing out roads and highways, and overflowing rivers.
The two deceased people drowned in flash flooding and after driving into a water-filled ditch, respectively.

Emergency was declared in Ashland, Bayfield, Burnett, Douglas, Iron, Price, Sawyer, and Washburn counties
