Last month, Joe Biden tapped Kamala Harris as the point man concerning the southern border crisis, and of course, nothing still has been done about it. Well, according to the former speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich that was exactly the reason why Harris was chosen for the job.
The left doesn’t want anything done about the influx of illegals swarming over the border since these are the people that will keep them in power with all the left’s freebies.
In fact, a report from CNN, internal government calculations from the Biden administration project that officials expect to encounter an estimated two million people at the border in 2021.

But combined, the data — based on preliminary reporting as of this month — illustrates the continuing challenge for the Biden administration, which has already faced a series of hurdles on the US-Mexico border, particularly with unaccompanied children and migrants families.
Data reviewed by CNN shows that up to 1.1 million single adults are expected through September, along with up to around 828,000 families and more than 200,000 unaccompanied children. According to the projections, border Patrol encounters are expected to continue to rise month-by-month, which can vary.
This information brings Gingrich to make this statement concerning Harris and the border.
“If you look at a piece of history, sometimes the obvious is accurate,” Gingrich said during a segment on Fox News. “They wanted Harris to be in charge of the border because they knew she wouldn’t do anything. This is not a mistake, this is why they refuse to call it a crisis.”
“They want the border to be open. Go back and look at the presidential primary debates. They are all in favor of open borders. They are all in favor of eliminating ICE. They are all in favor of eliminating any threat to sanctuary cities,” Gingrich said.
“So from their perspective, the next ten or fifteen thousand people [who come in] are good because it further increases the number of illegal immigrants in the United States, which is what they want,” Gingrich continued. “Of course, it’s working. What if your goal was to have the maximum number of illegal people in the United States? How would you do better than Biden?”

Since Harris was given the responsibility of the border on March 24, she has not been there to visit, and it is safe to say that she will not be going any time soon.
