The Rise of the Liberal Super PAC and Death of Democratic Party

Hillary’s big money donors aren’t happy.  The spent 1.2 billion dollars on her and they have nothing to show for it.  They have demanded a post mortem pointing out why Hillary lost.  The problem the democrats have is that have bet the bank on Russian hacking.  That might work on rank and file voters but the big money is big money for a reason.  In their businesses, they are experienced in finding the problem and correcting it.  They won’t buy a straw dog.  The other thing that ties big money voters together is a cause.  Some favor immigration.  Some favor gay rights.  Some are committed to the environment.

I will bet you dollars to donuts that the environmental big money boys and girls feel like Hillary didn’t stress that enough.  The immigration money thinks Hillary avoided what she needed to do on immigration.  The same goes for gay rights.  They all feel that their issue cost Hillary the election along with the fact that she was a terrible candidate with an even worst campaign staff.

If you are a big money donor, what do you do?  You either give your money to  PAC that concentrates on your issue and if you can’t find one, you start one of your own and that way 100% of your money goes into your issue.  At the same time it denies the candidates of that much cash.  Not all campaigns have such a terrible staff and an arrogant candidate who believes she can’t lose.  Most actually know how and where to use the money to do the most good.  They are not allowed to coordinate with PACs and therein lies a problem.

The campaign will be a shotgun pattern instead of organized chaos and it will be a major hindrance rather than the targeted use of time and money in problem areas.  The only way they avoid that is to come up with a candidate the majority of big money donors like.  However, in doing that, they are bound to get the most liberal candidate imaginable.  I see a bad moon a’rising.
