A multi-millionaire gave up his business and home in order to be with a simple farmer.
57-year-old Yao Nanshan, who is originally of China, has been living in Spain, where he was running a successful business and he lived in luxury.
However, he gave up everything and moved to Zhejiang, where he plans on spending the rest of his life with his new wife.
This love story began when Nanshan and his friends were on a trip to Zhejiang. They became stranded in the village. They had no choice, but to knock on the door of a stranger and ask for help.
The owner of the house, Liu Lijuan, was very hospitable to the foreigners and allowed them to stay the night for free.
During their conversation, Nanshan learned that Lijuan had a very difficult life. Her daughter had been diagnosed with a rare blood disease and her husband had died of stomach cancer, leaving behind huge medical debts.
However, Lijuan never complained about her life, and she was very kind and happy. A month after the trip, Nanshan, who was single, returned to the rural village to meet Lijuan again.
When he told Lijuan that he wants to take her out on a date,
she said that she did not want to burden him with her difficulties and debt.
Even after Nanshan revealed that he is a multi-millionaire, the woman did not want to take advantage of his money. She insisted on staying in the village to earn more money and repay her debts. After the two got engaged, Nanshan returned to Spain, and signed over all of his business to his children.
At first, his children thought that their father had gone mad. However, after attending his wedding and after seeing how happy he was with his new simple life, the children promised to respect his wishes.
