TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) — Tulsa Police Chief Chuck Jordan says Terence Crutcher‘s deadly shooting was “disturbing and very difficult to watch,” as he reviewed the footage with Crutcher’s family over the weekend.

Jordan spoke Monday afternoon at a news conference before the department released dashcam footage of the Sept. 16 incident.

Crutcher was shot to death by Officer Betty Shelby Friday night near East 36th Street North and North Lewis Avenue. According to Jordan, Shelby was en route to another call when she came upon Crutcher’s stalled SUV.

Shelby and another officer, Tyler Turnbough, both used force during the incident. Turnbough used a stun gun on Crutcher before Shelby fired a single gunshot.
