The former neighborhood watch captain was acquitted of murder and manslaughter for the shooting dead of the 17-year-old black teen.
Bids for the Kel-Tec PF-9 9mm gun will start at $5,000. Police recently returned the gun to Zimmerman in working order.
In his description of the gun, Zimmerman wrote: “Prospective bidders, I am honored and humbled to announce the sale of an American Firearm Icon.
“The firearm for sale is the firearm that was used to defend my life and end the brutal attack from Trayvon Martin.”
