Everyone loves McDonald’s french fries but do you really know what you are eating?

Traditional french fries are made from Russet Burbank Potatoes because they are cheap to grow, but they blemish easily and gets Net Necrosis, a potato disease, fairly easily. So McDonald’s sprays them with a pesticide called methamidophos. “That is toxic to the extent where Idaho farmers who cultivate these potatoes do not go on the fields for five days after the spraying.” These potatoes are not even edible after harvesting. They have to sit for six weeks inside of a football stadium sized “atmospheric shed” before they can be eaten.
