Police Officer Anthony Morgan was doing a routine pullover on a 21 year old with outstanding warrants when the young man called his buddies for backup.
The suspect escaped from the officer, and when Morgan approached him, “the subject ran towards Morgan with clenched fists”. “The officer, fearing assault, struck him with a closed fist.”
The mob then got a hold of Morgan, allowing the young man to escape. They assaulted the officer and nearly destroyed his police cruiser before backup finally arrived.
